About Detroit Air & Electric Tool Service, Inc.
Since 1978, Detroit Air & Electric Tool Service, Inc. has proudly served the industrial manufacturing community with dependable tool repair, quality products, and honest customer service. Founded by the Beaudoin family, what began as a small repair shop has grown into one of the region’s trusted sources for industrial pneumatic power tool sales, service, and repair.
From the very beginning, the business has remained family-owned and operated. Brothers Tim and Larry Beaudoin have helped build the company from its earliest days into the business it is today, earning a reputation for quality workmanship, fair pricing, and treating every customer with honesty and respect.
As the tool industry has evolved over the past four decades, so have we. Years ago, many electric power tools were designed to be repaired. As manufacturers shifted toward lower-cost and battery-powered tools, we adapted by focusing our expertise where quality service still matters most: industrial pneumatic power tools.
Today, Detroit Air & Electric specializes in the sales, service, and repair of industrial pneumatic tools used throughout the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and assembly industries. Our technicians perform in-house Dotco Flat-Rate Repairs, one of our signature services, providing customers with fast, consistent, and dependable turnaround. We are also proud to be an authorized distributor and repair center for Cleco, Dotco, Apex, Aircat, Universal Tool, Florida Pneumatic, and Top Cat, while continuing to service many other industrial brands that our customers have relied on for decades.
What truly sets us apart is our people. Our technicians bring more than 95 years of combined experience, and our employees average over 25 years of service with the company. That experience allows us to provide practical solutions, expert repairs, and knowledgeable support that our customers have come to depend on.
After nearly five decades, our philosophy remains the same as it was in 1978: provide quality repairs, stand behind our work, and treat every customer fairly. Whether you’re purchasing a new industrial pneumatic tool, sending equipment in for repair, or looking for expert product support, we’re committed to helping keep your operation running.
For nearly 50 years, we’ve built our reputation one repair at a time, and we look forward to continuing that tradition for generations to come.
